Cane Made To Carry A Masonic Sword. (8433)

This is one of the cleanest canes you will see. When you unscrew the silver plate cap, a mint Masonic sword is revealed. This is the only Masonic sword style that was ever made to fit into a cane. I have never seen either piece separate. To me it is one of the more interesting gadget canes, because of the psychological purpose for it's existence. The only reason it was made, was because the church was against all secret societies. You had to pledge a secret oath to join, and most churches felt those who joined were substituting a pledge to a secular organization, instead of God. Most churches wouldn't let Masonic join the church. They would let them come, but not join. When I was young, the church I went to actually had that in their bylaws. Those that went to the meetings didn't want their neighbors to know that they were going to a lodge meeting; therefore they hid their sword in their cane.
