2 Rim Wind 1888 Pat. Swiss (397148)
Here are two of the same watch with different case patterns. Wonder how many different patterns they made. These both screw off their shafts, with one being snakewood and the other malacca. I assume the movements are cylinder escapements as it it a lot of work to get to the movements. They come out from a screw in the bottom of the stem. I have just coined a new name stem, that part below the knob. I don't know what anybody else calls it, but I've noticed a lot of canes in the cane books with non matching stems. I'll spend more time on this later.
Cases are nickel plated brass, one has a porcellian dial with brevete, patented, and the other a metal engraved dial, which I have not seen before.
