 Stag Handle Gun Cane that fires paper cartridge (397296)
The gun cocks when you turn the stag handle. From looking at this you would never know it is a gun cane. You have to use a screw driver to expose the barrel about 1/3 way down to load it. It takes some sort of obsolete paper cartridge. It is not documented in any book, and I have not seen another mechanism like it in the 40 years I have owned it. It is factory made, maybe proto type with japaning on the entire shaft. I believe it is one of the rarest gun canes in existance. In perfect working condition, and all original. There is a little ring 1/8" on the shaft that is the trigger, push it and it releases the fireing pin.
