One of the rarer canes ever made. These were carried in the sick room by doctors. The vinager based solution of the four thieves on a spong inside kept them alive. See the picture below from a print in Dikes, "Cane Curiosa"
This one has all its original patena on bronze container. The brier scared shaft grew for 5 years before being cut and scared over for another 2 years. No one could make this patena today
