Patern With Transfer Design (8263)

It feels like the 1880's to me, but what makes it interesting is the transfer painted patern on the cover. The only parasol cheaper than this one is one with no patern. No stains tears or damage makes it a rarity. I met my first umbrella collector yesterday at Brimfield, Ma. the largest antique market in the world. I've always said I was the largest umbrella collector in the world, because I've never met another collector. I can no longer say that as he has 700, which out does me by several hundred. I'm telling you this because, if collecting of umbrellas ever catches on, I think there will be a huge difference in value between those that are average quality and those that are mint. There are so few that are in terrific condition.
