Beadle From 1776 (8267)

Many mistake a Beadles Staff for a mace, a drum majors staff. This beadle is 54" tall with a brass knob thats hand chased. The ferrule is 8" brass, and the shaft is 48" full bark malacca. It would be interesting to take a pole to see who has the longest full bark shaft, as I have always heard the longer the distance between knots, the rarer and more expensive the shaft.
The Beadle was a symbol of office of the Beadle a government official in England.
