 American Flute With Ivory Pommender. (8271)
Nice signiture and address on this one. Callender, Middle Street, Boston. N. 62. Has a nice pewter collar under the ivory pommander. Top with U.S. drilled in the top. Spong in container. Pommender was used to tune the instrament by raising and lowering the pommander. Threaded ivory stem holds pommender and wood plug together. Has a 3" original brass ferrule. I would guess 1820 to 1850. I would believe there are at least 62 others.
