Lillian Cox Fan Cane (8356)

Lillian isn't an important person, but she signed, dated, and told us where she lived, so she is important to me. She lived in Buffalo, N.Y. on Feb. 26, 1910. This entire cane is in near mint condition. It has a full malacca shaft and a handle I've never seen before. It's made from tortoise, ivory, and mother of pearl, with not one piece out of place. The mop is so fine I can't immagine how they got it in such a small space. It looks arts and crafts and seems right for 1910. It also looks to good to be American made, I'd guess English. Other than what lillian put down it's all a guess, including where the handpainted fan was made.
