Copper Elephant Flask (8370)

This handle is 5"H, 5" D, 2.4"w. The flask is 14" long, and took more work to make than most canes I have seen. The entire head and flask were made in multiple pieces, by hand chasing, then soldiered togather. I can't imagine the time it would have taken to do that. You may be thinking copper is not a common material for a cane, and you would be right, this one was silver plate.
You can also see the silver when the handle is removed. My guess is Anglo Indian, circa 1890. It has a 1.2" by17" bamboo shaft with original ferrule.
