Enomologist Microscope (8417)

If you haven't guessed it by now, I like microscopes. Any and all of them, wheather they were made for another use or not. One that does the same as this is in another famous book on gadget canes, but the microscope is different. When this one is screwed off the shaft it has it's own stand that folds out. It also works well on the cane when the lower part of the shaft is removed and it sticks in the ground. In the center of the cane are the instruments to cut up bugs. This is the only microscope like this I have ever seen, it was made by Beck and is signed on it's back. The shaft is malacca and I would guess the cane is, because of it's plain nature 1890 to 1910. The fit on the shaft, with it's matching brass knob is well done. The condition of this is mint, as many of these system sticks didn't get much use.
