Important Surgeons Cane (8485)

Rosewood veneered over brass with rhino horn handle with mother of pearl insert on top with all the information who owned it and where he was from. The only problem is I can't read it. All the instruments are tortoise 11 in all, along with other steel utensels. My favorate piece is a tortise finger bleeder. I would estimate the cane to be around 1860, I have no idea whether the tools are original, one of the reasons I'm posting it, is to get feed back from you medical experts. I've never shown this or offered it for sale before. I'm asking about the instruments, not the price. Leather tag inside says it was made by Daran, and was made on Rue street in France. The way its made, no piece can spill into the shaft or go to another compartment. The highest quality workmanship, it even has leather ends in each of the 5 containers that matches leather on the gold leaf signiture. All original patena, its not even waxed. A few loose pieces on the veneer, but there is no question about its authenticity. If your going to pay this kind of money, this is the way to find it.
