Ivory Doctors (8493)

This one dates around 1850, and is well made ivory with a malacca shaft. The pictures tell it all, or does it. I don't think this was a working doctors cane, my opinion is, it was made to show off or was educational to explain what he did. There are not enough instruments to do surgery, only 4 plus tweesers. Further down the book there is a silver doctors with a complete set for eye surgery, which is what these were used for. This far removed who knows. It's all Ivory with all ivory threads, and the instruments fit perfectly.
