Locket With A Cross On Top (8653)
The cross on this locket is not Catholic but Protestant, as Jesus is not on the cross. I think this is the biggest difference between the two. In Catholic crosses Jesus is always on the cross. In the Protestant religion Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day, and is no longer on the cross, but in our hearts. Jesus on the cross is a reminder he died for our sins. With pictures of a husband and son in the locket, this obviously was owned by a woman. Circa 1890
