Rosary And Holy Water Sprinkler All In One (8657)

This is the first of several combinations of rosaries, Pix, sprinklers, and communion canes.
I have not seen any like these for sale, and don't even know how much they are worth, as I have never parted with any, and I bought mine many years ago. What I have seen is the 3 holy oil containers as handles for sale. I am not saying the ones I have seen are not right, but they were made with pieces made for another use, pocket use, and they would be easy to put on a shaft. What I am saying, if it's easy to do, someone will do it. Keep that in mind as you collect, and make sure the fit and finish is as you would expect an antique cane to be. They were never sloppy, and never made handles that don't fit the hand well. I'm sorry if you are tired of hearing that, but I see such crap on the market today, and what you buy, keeps that material continuing to be made. The cross and engravings on the top of the handle of this one is hand engraved. The handle is all one piece and is sterling including the sprinkler, which is the same one as in Dike, and attached to the handle. This one is Circa 1920. Each fact I am giving you in these books, will build upon the other to give you a total picture as to how practical the people who had these canes made for them were. You would never have a Pix for the wafer, without a container for the wine, and a way to drink the wine. Catholics don’t use grape juice.
In vanity sticks, you would never have a shaving brush without the razor or the shaving soap. One makes no sense without the other, and each of these explanations builds upon the other. Although I like them, I don't think I have to worry about someone reproducing these, as I don't think the masses would beat the doors down to buy these. The makers of gadget canes know what are most in demand, sword canes, flick sticks and weapons, not crosses. Yet for what they teach us, I hope you like them, as much as I have.
