N. G. Hanson Patent (8897)
This gun cane probably has more parts than any other. It's a good looking complicated high quality piece of machinery that in my opinion is under priced. In fact, I think gun canes as a category are under priced. I put it that way because there are those that think they are worth a fortune, and price them as such. The less someone sees of something the rarer they think they are. Ebay has had a negative effect on prices in many categories, because these items have become plentiful, bringing down the price. The majority of gun canes that were produced have been destroyed, because they went off by accident or were fired with the ferrule in place. One thing about ebay, they won't let you sell weapons, we will never know in that arena what they are worth. They will never be made again, and there are not enough of them on the market for every collector to have one. It is my prediction that this catagory will go up more than any other catagory in the next few years. This is the first gun cane of a wide range of examples meant to show you how much variety and how interesting this catagory is.
