 Dike Early Porcelain (8958)
This is one rare handle. I don't remember seeing one like this in all my years. I said remember, but I don't pay as close attention to those I don't collect or those that have a value I'm not willing to pay. Tradewinds sold a squirtgun of atlas holding a woman on his back for $3500 a number of years ago. I found one in a antique show for $200. As I started to look and see what it was worth, I found that auction had just taken place a few months before, and I had read the catalog. I'm sure that when I saw the estimate at that kind of money, I automaticly kept on going. I have every catalog of every cane auction that has taken place in the last 15 years. I'm going to leave all the canes I can't do justice to sit until I have time to research them or get help. In the mean time you can enjoy the canes an expert who had photographed the best canes in the world, chose to keep in her personal collection.
