This cane was talked about in the introduction to pommanders as a cane that was used to make a hand smell pretty, but when the cane was pictured in the book, it wasn't described as that cane. It originally contained 300 canes that is now down to about 80, with about half of them for sale, and the other half to be kept by the widow. Most of the collection has been sold at public auction with his name attached, but no explaination of who he was.
