Item Detail

Andrew Jackson Bronze Knobkerry (9022)

The detail on this one is above average, its maker was a real artist. Its hard to have such detail on such a small handle. Of the period, circa 1850. The point of this cane being here is how to tell the copies. The grinder wasn't invented intil the early 20th century. If you see grinder marks on a cane handle or any other antique its not antique. That goes for cast iron too. The easyest way to tell the difference between cast iron toys and their copies are the grinder marks. When you think antique think quality and detail.
