African Massive With Ferrule (9089)

Most African canes are made by the natives and have no ferrules. The shaft on this one is massive by my 1.5” minimum size, and has a well worn brass ferrule. The silver collar is 1.4”, and the handle is 5” H, 2.5” deep and 2” W. The shaft is very heavy, with a smooth hand carved surface. The shaft is oval, like the handle, and made of coconut wood. It could have been native carved, but Anglo assembled. Circa 1890.
