Unusual Japanese Hook Handle On Snake Wood Shaft? (9193)
Of all the cloisonne handles this is one of the highest quality and in the most mint condition. I like the gold snake that covers the joint between the handle and the shaft. Of all the handles this is the most confusing, because of the squigals in the backround, which I generally label Chinese. I'm going with Japanese on this one because of the quality and the untypical western shaft, snakewood. I give this a 4 in rarity. It's only problem is that is a thin ladies cane, for which there are fewer collectors.
