Snuff Containers On Cloisonne Shafts. Which one is Chinese? (9202)

This first one is very interesting because the container on the left is Chinese, but the shaft is Japanese. Yet the colors match to perfection. There was a point in the early 1900's when Japan occupied China. The shaft is Japanese cloisonne in wood with a laquer finish. Cloisonne shafts are very rare, and as far as I know Japan was the only country who made an antique shaft in cloisonne. When I was in China in the 90's I saw new ones, but never antique. Notice the scrolls in the black background, typical Chinese.
