This hand tooled and hand painted leather handle comes with both a shaft and Umbrella. What you see in the picture is a snakewood shaft and gold collar that it screws off of. It belonged to a woman attorney with the title Esquire. Once screwed off the shaft it can be put on the umbrella. Umbrellas have long been considered inferior to canes. This proves umbrellas were used as canes when it rained.
