Vertebra Of Shark (8419)

The silver handle is from the far east and is nicely chased. It's not worth much nor is the vertebra shaft. You would think a 1850's whalers piece would be worth more than a couple hundred, but nobody seems to care much about them. This one is here because of it's 1.1" D shaft. I would like to know if there are any bigger. A $100 bill to the owner of a larger one.
