Henry A. Dreer Seeds Philadalpha (8544)

Used to tell if the ground is warm enough to plant seeds in the spring or anytime. This is a very large cane with the widest part of the handle at 1.5" and shaft 1.3". I like the fact it is signed. Put the point in the ground and read the thermometer. The brass cover has a removeable ferrule so the tube cane slide up and be attached to the top of the shaft. I would guess 1900. Hopefully some one from Philli will look him up.
