Enamel Compact And Watch Cane (8625)
Down puff in lower part of handle,and watch under lid. Swings out to wind. Sterling with beautiful engine turning under the blue enamel. Pure art deco styleing, with 8 day watch signed Schild and Co. Case is signed Made in Austra, Sterling,.935. Made in late 1920's. Dial is marked 8 days, Quintana Yoya, Habana. This must have been made for a cuban jeweler. The initials on the lower handle are deco, as is the angular shape. The shaft is Tiger Sandlewood, with a horn ferrule. Dike shows a puff and a watch in #8/43, but the watch is up. The entire top screws off to turn this into a travel clock for night stand use.
