Rolled gold Plate, W.J. Braitsch&Co.,Providence R.I., Established 1895. Rolled gold plate is the least expensive of all the gold on brass canes. It is a sheet of gold rolled on brass and is thinner than Gold Filled. Look at the black line on top, which shows two things. One, that the handle was made in two pieces, and two that the black is tarnish because the gold is thin at the soldier line. Early 20th.
