 Wonderful Carved Shaft In Oak With Presentation Handle dated 1895 (8859)
The presenters of this cane went all out, as the carver of this shaft, put the presenteds name date of the wedding and 50th anniversity date along with all the leafs and carvings. I haven't seen many shaft of the quality and workmanship of this one. No name on the presentation handle as you would expect with all the information on the shaft. Another example of people buying a handle then having a custom made shaft to fit it. There are fewer carved shafts than carved handles. I would say 100's to one.
